Many parts of each product we make can be crafted from sustainable or recycled materials. We take great care to source these materials ensuring they don’t reduce the high standards we strive to achieve. Alongside this we’re constantly evolving the way we work to reduce waste and save materials. What waste we do produce is disposed of or recycled in an environmental way.
We also use an environmentally friendly company called Eco Speed to deliver our furniture. Their aim is to be carbon neutral and they are proud to be partners with LWT. Each month 10% of their profits goes to purchase and restoration local nature reserves.
Timber
All timber used by our production departments is sourced from sustainable and reliable UK suppliers that are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) approved and have a safe approach to the environment. Our aim is to make timeless pieces which will last decades. meaning our furniture needs to be replaced less frequently.
Fabrics & Leather
Working with leading sustainable producers such as Crest Leather who create 100% UK sourced low carbon leather. Audited against the LWG Environmental Audit Protocol and assessed at the highest possible standards.
Sustainable Stains & Lacquers
We offer a range of sustainable and eco-friendly finish options for our timber products. These can include water-based stains and lacquers which we use on all our frames during the production of our products.
Eco Boards
Made from a variety of agricultural waste, Eco-Boards are an excellent alternative to chipboard, plywood and MDF. Their versatility allows us to use them in a wide range of furniture without compromising the quality of the finished product. As well as being 100% biodegradable, moisture resistant and formaldehyde free, they produce less dust making them much healthier to work with.
